Participarea României la Eurovision în pericol din cauza problemelor financiare

Am citit cu surprindere postarea de pe pagina de Facebook „Eurovision Romania”: „EBU așteaptă răspuns de la Guvernul României” și un link către un articol publicat pe site-ul eurovisionary.com în care citim:

Criza financiară din TVR ar putea afecta participarea României la Eurovision. EBU ar putea interzice participarea României la Eurovision în 2016 din cauza datoriilor care au depășit 10.000.000€. Într-un comunicat oficial, TVR a declarat:

[…]The EBU is currently waiting for an answer by the Romanian government, the parliament respectively the Ministry of Finance, institutions that the Broadcasting Union has contacted during the last months as it is the responsibility of these to solve the mentioned problems.[…]

Furthemore the EBU is demanding for a Warranty Statement by Romanian state which includes the promise that all the debts will be paid in time and either that the broadcaster will continue its existence.
The TVR will make every attempt to assure Romania’s participation in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest and further to obtain the broadcasting rights for the event. […]

Așadar, TVR-ul are datorii. Sigur, asta nu-i o noutate. Dar presupun că nu au aflat de aceste datorii astăzi. Și atunci, nu pot să nu (mă) întreb: de ce participăm? De ce să fim puși în astfel de situații penibile, să ne facem de râs? De ce ar trebui să rezolve Guvernul această „criză”?! De ce trebuie să expunem artistul care ne reprezintă țara?

La rândul său, Ovidiu Anton a declarat:

An artist should not be brought into this situation. The Romanian television has the duty to promote music, one of the most important national values. Even though the situation is serious, I am confident the broadcaster will obtain the help of the government and finally solve these issues.
